The Never-ending Ad Page
The Fix Chicks site is largely a labor of love - we don’t have any paid memberships, we don’t really sell a product, and we aren’t independently wealthy. We pay for our own hosting, build our own site, do our own promotiing, and pretty much provide all our own content and community management, in order to provide a place for like-minded folks to read, talk, gossip, or brag about their fix-it prowess.
We’ve built affiliate/sponsorship relationships with various companies along the way, largely for our own use - you see, we keep a secret shopping page so that when we need to make a purchase, we can go to that page and shop our own vendors first, because if we didn’t do that, well, that’d just be rather silly, wouldn’t it? I’ve had a few emails asking me where I buy this or that and most of the time my answer is something like, “look on our Gardening page and click the link on the right that says _______.”
Well, to simplify things (and to share like nice children), I’m posting the “secret shopping page” for everyone to see. If you shop from this page, yay for us, because about 75% of the links you’ll see in here are affiliate links with vendors we shop with regularly. We’ll even note our favorites for you.
